Danyel Racenet has extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as VP R&D at Medtronic since May 2014, where responsibilities include leading new product development for mechanical instrumentation and implants within the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group. Prior to Medtronic, Danyel held various roles at Covidien from April 2003 to January 2020, including Manager of Technology Strategy, Engineering Manager, and Principal Biomedical Engineer, focusing on strategic planning and innovative surgical solutions. Danyel's earlier roles include Research Engineer at Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety and Health and Research Principal at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, contributing to biomechanics research and testing protocols. Danyel holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science from Hofstra University.
