James also holds an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Emergency Management from Frederick Community College, which they earned from 2010 to 2012.

Before pursuing higher education, James attended Baker College of Muskegon from 2006 to 2007 to study Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, although they did not obtain a degree. James completed their high school education at White Cloud High School, where they received a General Education Diploma.
