Rob Carey is a senior content producer at MeetingsNet and a freelance business journalist with over a decade of experience in the industry. Rob has covered various industries, from hotel and golf-facility management to meeting/event planning to promotional product/apparel sales to middle-market executive leadership. Carey began their career in the meetings and hospitality industry as an editorial director for Nielsen Business Media brands Successful Meetings and Meeting News. In this role, they oversaw a staff of 12 employees and was responsible for the creation of content for a monthly industry magazine, a semi-monthly industry newspaper, weekly e-mail newsletters, and a daily-updated website. Rob also gave presentations at conferences in the meetings/conventions/incentives/hospitality field, and moderated focus groups and panel discussions.

In 2007, Carey transitioned to Meetings & Hospitality Insight Inc., where they worked as a principal for 11 years. In 2018, they joined MeetingsNet as a senior content producer, where they continue to create high-quality content for the meetings and events industry.

Rob Carey has a BA in Political Science from Columbia College, Columbia University with a concentration in American Theirtory/Politics/Law. Rob also attended Kings Park High School.
