Bill Mazurek has extensive work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on technology development, operations, and process engineering. Bill currently holds a key role as the Director of Technology Development at MEG Energy Corp., where they identify and evaluates opportunities, implements strategies around new technologies, and provides recommendations to the executive team. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations and Development at MEG Energy Corp., where they managed a large team and was accountable for plant performance and budgeting. Before joining MEG Energy Corp., Bill worked as the Manager of Operations Optimization and Development, Manager of Process Engineering, and Operations and Projects Process Engineering Lead at various companies. Bill also had experience working at Suncor Energy as an Integration Manager and Process Engineering Lead, and at Jacobs Engineering and Fluor Corporation as a Process Engineering Lead and Process Engineer, respectively. Bill's expertise extends to areas such as steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD), plant optimization, production enhancement, and commissioning and startup planning.
Bill Mazurek completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Alberta from 1989 to 1993. Bill obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in August 1996.
