Jim Harris

Jim Harris is a seasoned operations professional with extensive experience in the energy and resource sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at MEG Energy Corp. since October 2023, Jim previously held various managerial roles at Teck Resources Limited and Suncor from 2007 to 2023, including Manager of Production and multiple director-level positions focused on operational efficiency and maintenance. Jim’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Calgary, a 3rd Class Power Engineering certification from BCBSA, and an Executive Leadership program at Harvard Business School. Jim's career began as a Shift Engineer at Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership, demonstrating a progressive trajectory through a variety of operational and engineering roles.
