Juan Carlos Quintero

Juan Carlos Quintero serves as the Head of the Music Business & Communications Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, beginning in August 2024. With extensive experience in music production and composition, Juan Carlos has been a Music Producer and Composer at BMG - The New Music Company since January 2013, while also owning the production music label "Café Moondo" at Warner/Chappell Production Music since 2009. Additionally, Juan Carlos has held the position of Executive In Charge of Music for the animated series "Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty" at Funrise since 2018 and continues to produce and compose for Megatrax. Previous roles include Head of Music and Music Supervisor at Genius Brands International and Saban Brands, overseeing major projects like "The Power Rangers" and "Digimon Fusion." As the President and Owner of Moondo Records Inc. and a former adjunct professor at College of the Canyons, Juan Carlos brings a wealth of expertise in music business education and industry practice. Academic credentials include a BM in Composition/Arranging from Berklee College of Music and further studies at the New England Conservatory of Music.
