Leonard Keane

Leonard Keane is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Process & Automation Engineering Manager at MeiraGTx since November 2020, leading projects to establish a commercial-scale GMP manufacturing facility for plasmid DNA and viral vector therapeutic medicines. Prior to this role, Leonard was a Senior Process Engineer at a new manufacturing site for pDNA and gene therapy viral vectors, and held the position of Senior Facilities Engineer at Roche Ireland Ltd, where expertise in site utilities was applied. Leonard's earlier experience includes roles as Project Manager and Engineering Manager at UCB Pharma, focusing on technical transfers and project management within highly regulated environments, as well as manufacturing coordinator at IMAG Optical Storage. Leonard holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical (Aeronautical) Engineering from the University of Limerick and further education from University College Cork.
