Lori Lynn has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lori started their career as a Staff/Admission/Preceptor/Charge RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Lori then worked at Spectrum Health as a Staff RN in various departments, including Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric ED, and Outpatient Clinics. After that, they served as a Legal Nurse Advisor at Buchanan & Buchanan PLC, where they analyzed medical negligence claims and managed medical and employment records. Lori later worked as a Healthcare Account Representative/Consultant at WorkSquared, where they collaborated with hospital leaders to improve caregiver efficiency and patient safety. Lori also had roles at CareBridge/Medical Advantage Group, where they were responsible for care management and coordination for complex patients, and Grand Valley State University as an Adjunct Professor and Grant Project Coordinator. Lori then became the Clinical Quality Manager at Metro Health Integrated Network-Metro Health University of Michigan Health, overseeing ambulatory care management programs and leading population health and quality improvement initiatives. Most recently, they have been working at Mel Trotter Ministries, first as the Director of Clinical Services, then as the Senior Director of Clinical Services, and currently as the Senior Director of Clinical Services and Medical Outreach.

Lori Lynn has a diverse education history. Lori obtained a Master of Science degree in Patient Safety Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In addition to their formal education, Lori has acquired various certifications throughout their career. Some of these certifications include Trainer Certification Person-Centered Dementia Care from the Alzheimer's Association, Basic Disaster Life Support from the National Disaster Life Support Foundation, and Recipient Rights Advisor from Network180. Lori also possesses certifications in Crisis Prevention Training, Certification-Chronic Care Professional/Certified Health Coach from the HealthSciences Institute, Advance Care Planning Certified Facilitator-Last Steps and Advance Care Planning Certified Facilitator-First Steps from Respecting Choices, Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health, and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant from the Vickie Milazzo Institute. Additionally, they are a Registered Nurse licensed in both the State of Michigan since 1995 and the State of Texas since 1988.
