Peter Jones

Mr Jones was appointed to the Trust in September 2022. As Managing Director and Founder of Peter Jones Special Events, he has had more than a 30-year career delivering major events across the country.

Mr Jones has had extensive industry experience including previous board positions with Destination Melbourne, the Victorian Tourism Industry Council and Tourism Australia’s Business Events Advisory Council.

Mr Jones is also past Chairman of the International Special Events Society, Victoria Chapter and the Victorian Events Industry Council.

Mr Jones is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and in 2018 was recognised as a member in the general division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the tourism, not for profit and hospitality sectors, particularly event management.
