Sharon Li

Sharon Li is the Chief Financial Officer at Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Prior to their current role, Sharon worked as a management accountant at Ford Motor Company and as a finance manager at Good Shepherd Microfinance.

Sharon has extensive experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. At Good Shepherd Microfinance, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of management reporting, including financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Sharon also coordinated internal and external audit processes and oversaw the accounts payable and receivable functions.

In their current role as Chief Financial Officer at Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sharon is responsible for the overall financial management of the organisation. Sharon provides strategic financial advice to the Board and Executive team, and manages all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Sharon is committed to delivering efficient and effective financial management services that enable the Orchestra to achieve its artistic and organisational objectives.

Sharon Li has a certification from CPA Australia as a Certified Practicing Accountant. Sharon also has a Bachelor of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law, a Master of Laws from University of Melbourne, and a Master of Professional Accounting from RMIT University.

Sharon Li reports to Sophie Galaise, Managing Director. Sharon Li works with Alexandra Fitzgerald - People & Culture Business Partner, Dylan Stewart - Director of Marketing and Sales, and Jayde Walker - Head of Partnerships. A direct report to Sharon Li is and Vafi Cheng - Accountant.
