Roberto Hernando Gómez

Roberto Hernando Gómez has over 14 years of work experience in various roles within the hotel industry. Roberto started their career at RIU Hotels & Resorts in 2003, where they worked as an Economic and Fiscal Department Analyst, managing balance analysis, collection management, and financial control. Roberto then moved to become the Financial Manager of the Caribbean Project, where they were responsible for the financial work and administration of a new hotel construction in Aruba.

In 2007, Gómez joined Meliá Hotels International as the Chief of Administration Coordination, overseeing various administrative tasks. Roberto later served as the Head of the Project Office, where they managed project planning, coordination, and execution from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, they became the Project Office Manager, responsible for the successful completion of multiple investment projects.

Gómez then took on the role of Real Estate Control Manager at Meliá Hotels International in 2013, where they handled the realization, control, and budget monitoring of real estate and departmental divisions. Roberto also oversaw the company's annual plan for strategic and technical investments.

Currently, Gómez holds the position of Portfolio Management Director at Meliá Hotels International, starting in May 2016. In this role, they manage a portfolio of properties and ensures the successful implementation of investment projects.

In 2017, they completed the Curso de Finanzas para no financieros nivel avanzado at ICEX-CECO. In 2016, they pursued One to One Business English Intensive at O'Sullivans, The Language School, focusing on Business English. Roberto earned a Profesional Advanced en Coaching Ejecutivo from the Centro de Estudios de Coaching Ejecutivo between 2014 and 2016, specializing as a Lider Coach Ejecutivo. In 2013, they participated in Executive Education del Programa de Formación de Meliá, Administración y gestión de empresas at Esade.
