Katie U. is an accomplished food scientist currently serving as the Head of Product at MeliBio since July 2022, where leadership involves the development and commercialization of plant-based honey products. Previous experience includes managing the scale-up process and conducting research and development at MeliBio, as well as obtaining a PhD in Food Science from the University of California, Davis, with a focus on the blue elderberry. Additional roles include an R&D internship at Dr Pepper Snapple Group, a student research assistant at The Ohio State University's Sensory Evaluation Program, and an internship at Cargill working on product development projects. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from The Ohio State University.
