Monica Araya

Monica Araya is a distinguished expert in environmental management and climate policy, holding prominent positions such as Distinguished Fellow at ClimateWorks Foundation, Governing Board Member at Meliore Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Natural Resource Governance Institute. With extensive experience in advising global initiatives and organizations, Monica has been instrumental in strategic development for the Drive Electric Campaign, enhancing communications funding at the Meliore Foundation, and contributing to governance discussions for NRGI. Formerly the Executive Director at the European Climate Foundation, Monica oversaw international climate diplomacy efforts. Monica co-founded the "Fossil Free Costa Rica" campaign and has actively engaged in promoting green growth in Latin America through previous roles and academic pursuits, including a PhD from Yale University.
