In 2001, they attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College and obtained an AAS degree in Computer Networking. Susan furthered their education at Lake Superior College from 2003 to 2004, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Legal studies.
To broaden their understanding of HR management, Susan enrolled in the University of Wisconsin-Superior from 2008 to 2010, earning a certificate in Human Resources Generalist. In 2011, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management at Concordia University-St. Paul, completing their studies in 2012.
Seeking advanced knowledge in the legal aspects of employment, Susan enrolled at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University from 2019 to 2020. During this time, they obtained a Master of Law degree with a focus on Employment Law.
In 2021, Susan attended the HR Executive Suite Connection program offered by Harvard Business School Executive Education but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, they hold a certification in HR-Executive Suite Connection from the same institution.
