Janea Charles

Janea Charles, MBA, MSW, LCSW, currently serves as a Social Work Care Manager at Harris Health System since January 2014, where responsibilities include developing departmental guidelines and managing a caseload of 100-130 clients with chronic health conditions. Janea plays a pivotal role in staff leadership and training, having precepted University of Houston interns, two of whom secured positions at Harris Health. Additionally, Janea is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, teaching graduate courses on Healthcare in Social Work and DSM 5-TR. As a Behavioral Therapist for MeMD, Janea provides telehealth services, and previously held the position of Director of Social Services at ClearSky Health, focusing on case management and coordination in a rehabilitation setting. Janea holds an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship from Southern University and A&M College, a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
