Jed Gorlin

Medical Director at Memorial Blood Centers

Jed Gorlin has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Jed started their career in 1997 as a Committee Member at America's Blood Centers and later became the Chief Medical Officer there. In 2018, they joined the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City as the Medical Director. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, they worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota as the Medical Director in the Transfusion Service. Additionally, they served as a consultant for the OB Hemorrhage Working Group and was a member of the Human Subjects Committee at NMDP. Jed Gorlin also worked as the Medical Co-Director of the Transfusion Service at Hennepin County Medical Center and as the Medical Director at Memorial Blood Centers. Jed held the position of Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota. Outside of the medical field, Jed Gorlin was a Clinical Consultant for the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Jed Gorlin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Stanford University in 1978 and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Yale University School of Medicine in 1982. Jed further pursued higher education by completing an Executive MBA at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 2003 to 2005. Prior to these endeavours, Jed Gorlin attended Golden Valley High School from 1970 to 1974. Jed also had a period of education at University Elementary School, but the specific details are not provided.
