Sunshine Thao

Sunshine Thao has extensive experience in laboratory management and operations, currently serving as Manager of the Component Laboratory at Memorial Blood Centers since October 2019, following a role as Assistant Laboratory Manager. Prior to this, Sunshine worked as a Bacteriologist 1 at the Minnesota Department of Health, engaging in various laboratory duties within BSL-2 and BSL-3 environments. Sunshine's experience also includes a position as a Clinical Lab Technologist at LabCorp, where analytical procedures were prioritized and performed independently. Earlier roles included staff positions at the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities and offices at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where administrative support and operations were managed. Sunshine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
