Amador Centeno

SVP of Facilities Management & Real Estate Development at Memorial Sloan - Kettering Cancer Center

Amador Centeno joined Memorial Sloan Kettering from Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), where he served in a variety of senior leadership positions since 2006, most recently as Senior Vice President of Facilities Management, Operations, and Planning, and Vice Dean for Student Services. In that role, he oversaw daily operations and support for nearly four million square feet of research, education, clinical, and residential space. He also led campus-wide renovations, new construction, and strategic planning exercises in collaboration with institutional leaders.

Before joining CUIMC, Centeno worked at Beth Israel Medical Center, where he served as the Vice President of Administration overseeing Environment Services, Engineering, Food Services, Security, Safety, Materials Management, Biomedical Engineering, and Hazardous Waste Management. He launched his career at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

He holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Iona College and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lehman College. Centeno is active in several industry-related organizations and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
