Jon Mellars

Jon Mellars has a range of work experience in various industries. Jon most recently worked at Men In Kilts as an Area Sales Manager, where they began in December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Technician for the company from May 2019 to December 2020. Before joining Men In Kilts, Jon was self-employed as a Commercial Diver from March 2016 to April 2019. Jon also worked as a Commercial Diver for ComSec Diving from July 2016 to May 2018. Jon had a role as a Food and Beverage Team Leader at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 2015. Jon previously worked as a Food and Beverage Attendant at Druids Glen Resort from April 2013 to September 2014. Jon's earlier experience includes working as a Dive Instructor / Overnight Reef Crew at H20 Sportz / Fantasea Cruises from January 2011 to January 2012, and as the Owner/Manager of Deep Blue Scuba Services from 2010 to 2012. Their earliest documented role was as a Dive Instructor at Les Basetes from January 2007 to April 2010.

Jon Mellars has a diverse education background. In 2016, they attended The Underwater Centre for a commercial diving course. During this time, they obtained certifications such as SCUBA and Surface Supplied from the Health and Safety Executive. In 2004 to 2005, they studied Fine/Studio Arts at Instituto de Cheste. Additionally, Jon has obtained various certifications over the years, including Service Technician from Apeks Marine Equipment, Instructor from Emergency First Response, IDC Staff Instructor from PADI, and Instructor from Divers Alert Network. Jon also holds certifications in Powerboat Level 2 from the Royal Yachting Association, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms from CSA, and First Aid at Work from the Health and Safety Executive.
