Palaniappan Meyyappan

Palaniappan Meyyappan has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Palaniappan started their career as a Junior Research Fellow at CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre in December 2011. Palaniappan then worked as a Design Internship at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, where they designed urban utilities for the Central Business District of Bangalore Corporation. Palaniappan later joined Tata Consulting Engineers Limited and held the positions of Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, and Program Manager from April 2013 to July 2017. During their time there, they gained expertise in project management and design engineering. In 2017, they founded their own startup called PalWorks, a project management consultancy specializing in digital transformation and urban utilities. Palaniappan successfully designed automated wastewater management systems for various smart city projects. In 2021, Palaniappan became the Product Head at OneFitPlus, where they played a crucial role in setting up and growing Shopify-based D2C e-commerce websites, resulting in significant revenue growth. Additionally, they scaled the delivery capability across India, leading to substantial growth in GMV. Currently, Palaniappan serves as the Head of Product at Mensa Brands, starting in 2022.

Palaniappan Meyyappan has an education history that includes pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they attended Mahatma Montessori School from 1994 to 2008, where they completed high school.

In addition to their formal education, Palaniappan Meyyappan has obtained several certifications. These certifications include AI Accountability Essential Training, AI in Fintech Essential Training, Advanced SQL for Data Scientists, Agile Foundations, Digital Transformation, SQL Essential Training, Scrum: The Basics, Tableau Essential Training (2020.1), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Solar Entrepreneurship Course, Advanced Certificate Course in Geoinformatics, and Advanced Computerized Project Management. These certifications were obtained from various institutions such as LinkedIn, KPMG India, Tamilnadu Advanced Technical Training Institute, Centre for Environment and Development, and SABCONS (Project Management, Leadership and Strategy). The certifications were earned between 2012 and 2020.
