Don Bornheimer

Don Bornheimer currently serves as the Outreach Coordinator for NJ Connect for Recovery at the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, a position held since January 2018, where responsibilities include training as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and a Certified Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CCAR). Previously, Don worked as a Crisis Counselor at RWJBarnabas Health from November 2020 to July 2022, providing emotional support under a FEMA grant during the COVID-19 pandemic. From November 2017 to January 2020, Don functioned as a Recovery Specialist within the same organization. Prior to this, Don spent two decades at the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts, Probation Services Division, in various roles including Court Executive, overseeing juvenile probation services and intensive supervision programs. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Correctional Administration from Rutgers University.
