Erik Brouwer

Erik Brouwer has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Erik is currently employed at Menzis as the Chief Information Security Officer since September 2023. Prior to this, Erik worked at RDW from 2017 to 2021, initially as an Officer Risk Compliance and Security, where they played a key role in drafting risk management policies and implementing an Information Security Management System. Erik also supervised and recorded risk assessments and implemented backup and recovery schemes and automated Privileges Access Management.

Before joining RDW, Erik worked at Ordina for six years as a Business Consultant. Their responsibilities included making strategic choices for business and IT alignment, conducting requirement and process analysis, and drafting blueprints.

Erik also has experience in consulting and project management, working at Nautixx as a Consultant, Coach, and Project Manager, where they provided guidance to start-ups and managed internet presence, marketing, and communication projects.

Additionally, Erik has worked as a Business Project Manager at NDC/Contendor - KIS and as an ICT Consultant at KPN. Erik started their career at NRG BeNeLux BV as an Adviseur Document Management Solutions and also served as a Lead Consultant at Satellite Newspaper.

Erik Brouwer's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Huygens Lyceum in Voorburg. Erik completed their VWO degree there in 1985. Following that, from 1988 to 1991, they pursued a Bachelor's degree (Ing.) in Innovation Management at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

In terms of additional certifications, Erik obtained the "Information Security Management Expert (S-ISME)" certification from SECO-Institute in July 2023. Erik also received the "ISO 31000 Risk Management" certification from the Global Network for International Certification in October 2021.
