Sara Gielen

Sara Gielen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in production and operations management within the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Leiterin Produktion at Mercedes-Benz AG, Sara is responsible for the Sindelfingen plant and its overall operations. Prior to this role, Sara held various positions at Ford Motor Company, including Plant Manager at Ford Saarlouis and multiple leadership roles throughout different sites, where responsibilities included leading assembly teams, coordinating production planning, and managing the launch of new models. Sara began a career in 1997 at Haesevoets NV as a Cost & Pre-production CAD manager and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in production systems and logistics. Sara holds a Master of Business Administration from Hasselt University and an Engineer's degree in Production Mechanics from Escola Superior De Tecnologia in Portugal, complemented by a background in Industrial Engineering.
