Amit Atre

Amit Atre currently serves as the Head of Legal Affairs & Corporate Secretary at Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd., a position held since January 2017. Prior to this role, Amit was the Group Company Secretary at Thermax from December 2015 to January 2017 and worked as Senior Counsel specializing in supply chain and Labour & Employment at GE between April 2013 and December 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as General Manager Legal & Company Secretary at a US MNC from April 2003 to April 2013 and as Legal Counsel for Cummins Inc. during part of that time. Additional roles include Company Secretary at Hoganas India Limited from April 2001 to March 2003. Amit holds a Master in Business Studies from Savitribai Phule Pune University, an FCS in Corporate Laws from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a Bachelor of Commerce from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, a Chartered Secretary qualification from ICSA, UK, and an LLB from ILS Law College, Pune. Amit also has a DBM in Business Management from INDSEARCH.
