Axel Bense

Axel Bense is an accomplished executive in the automotive industry with extensive leadership experience. Currently serving as the President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC in Charleston, SC since April 2022, Bense previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Mercedes Benz Manufacturing Thailand from October 2020 to April 2022 and at Mercedes Benz Manufacturing Rus from January 2017 to September 2020. Additionally, Bense contributed to Daimler AG as Projektleiter for the new MVP plant in Russia from April 2015 to March 2017, and served as Director of Production and a Board Member at Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok from January 2011 to April 2015.
