Ryan Platt

Ryan Platt is a highly experienced aerodynamic design engineer currently serving as the Lead Aerodynamic Design Engineer at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team since August 2016. In this role, Ryan has been instrumental in creating the 2022 Surface Model and interpreting FIA regulations, ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the design process. Prior experience includes a Graduate Engineer position at MAHLE, where Ryan rotated through various departments, and a CAD Engineer role at Hanon Systems, collaborating with global automotive clients. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, obtained in 2015.
