Richard Kosowski serves as the Music Director for Mercer University Children's Choirs since August 2011 and holds the position of Associate Professor of Music and Director of Graduate Studies at Mercer University from August 2007 to present, previously serving as an Assistant Professor. At Mercer University, responsibilities include teaching Vocal Studies, Diction, Voice Related Classes, Opera Direction, Music Direction, Vocal Techniques, and Music Appreciation, along with roles such as House of Delegates Representative and Professional Voice Performance. Prior to this, Richard Kosowski was an Affiliate Artist and Teaching Fellow at the University of Houston from 2004 to 2007 and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Miami from August 2002 to May 2004. Richard Kosowski earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance with a focus on voice science and pedagogy from the University of Houston, a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Music Education with a voice concentration from Truman State University.
