Shannon Powell

Shannon Powell has been working in communications and marketing for over 15 years. Shannon started their career at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they worked as an Event Manager for 6 years. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating and executing industry conferences and exhibits, as well as managing the company website, social media, and writing and publishing press releases and blogs.

In 2006, Shannon left NASA to join Constellation Energy as their Events & Marketing Manager. In this role, they were responsible for leading the marketing team to ensure successful and timely completion of corporate communication programs from concept to execution, including timelines, vendors, internal resources and budgets. Shannon also ensured corporate brand integrity was maintained across all platforms, wrote content, and assisted with creative design development of client-facing marketing materials including traditional and digital media.

In 2009, Shannon left Constellation Energy to join CSSi as their Marketing Manager. Shannon remained in this role until 2015 when they joined Mercer as their Communications and Marketing Manager.

Shannon Powell received their education at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
