Damiano Urbinello

Damiano Urbinello currently serves as Head of Value, Access and External Affairs at Merck Group, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Damiano held several positions at MSD Switzerland, including Associate Director of Policy & Communications and Health Policy Manager from March 2018 to November 2023. With a background in public health, Damiano was a Scientific Advisor at Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG from November 2014 to February 2018 and has experience as a Scientific Collaborator at Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute. Additional roles include Research Fellow in Global Health Economics at Abbott and teaching Technical English and Sciences at Interlink. Educational qualifications include two Ph.D. degrees from University of Basel and Ghent University, an MSc from University of Basel, and a CAS in Health Economics from ZHAW School of Management and Law.
