Aileen Pangan

Aileen Pangan is an experienced leader in clinical research, currently serving as Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head for Clinical Research in Immunology at Merck since February 2022. Prior to this role, Aileen held various positions at AbbVie from 2011 to November 2021, including Executive Medical Director for Immunology Clinical Development, where responsibilities included global clinical leadership for upadacitinib and oversight of Phase 1-3 trials across multiple disciplines. Previous roles at AbbVie included Group Medical Director and Project Director for HUMIRA in Rheumatology. Aileen's career began at Abbott as Medical Director for Rheumatology, and included an academic position as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loyola University Health System. Aileen earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines and completed further education at Harvard Medical School and Rush University Medical Center.
