Cynthia Hong

Cynthia Hong is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and academic sectors. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck since July 2018, Cynthia has also held the role of Senior Scientist at the same company. Prior experience includes being a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley College of Chemistry from August 2013 to May 2018, and a Visiting Scientist at Merck in mid-2017. Earlier roles include a position as an Undergraduate Researcher at Northwestern University and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Cynthia's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Synthetic Chemistry from UC Berkeley and a BA/MS in Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University.
