Justyna Sikorska

Associate Principal Scientist at Merck

Justyna Sikorska is a highly experienced Associate Principal Scientist at Merck since September 2016, where leadership of multidisciplinary teams in fragment-based lead discovery (FBLD) and development of biophysical assays are key responsibilities. Notable contributions include the definition of ligand mechanisms across various modalities and the implementation of innovative screening methodologies. Justyna has also served as Chair of the North Jersey Section of the American Chemical Society from January 2019 to December 2023, along with roles as Alternate Councilor and Chair of NMR topical group. Prior experience includes postdoctoral research at EMBL focusing on NMR techniques, as well as a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Oregon State University, complemented by earlier roles as a teaching assistant and retail pharmacist. Justyna completed the Merck Management Foundations Program at the University of Michigan in 2021.
