Rakesh Maniar

Rakesh Maniar is an accomplished leader in clinical trial operations and eClinical technologies, currently serving as the Head of eClinical Technologies at Merck since November 2020. With extensive experience at TransCelerate BioPharma Inc. as Co-Lead of the eSource Initiative and at SCDM - Data Driven as Co-Chair of the eSource Implementation Consortium, Rakesh is dedicated to advancing electronic data usage in clinical research. Previously, Rakesh held several key positions at Novartis, including Global Head of Business Technology Services and Global Head of Clinical Database Delivery, managing large teams to enhance data quality and streamline clinical trial processes. Rakesh holds advanced degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Instrumentation from respected institutions and has contributed significantly to data management practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
