Arif Sayed has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Arif is currently serving as a Programme Manager and Senior Business Analyst at Mercuria since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cheniere Energy Inc. as a Commodities Markets professional from November 2022 to July 2023 and as a Senior Business Analyst from June 2022 to November 2022. From March 2022 to July 2022, Arif held the position of CC Lead - Business Analysis at Shell. Arif also worked as a Senior Business Change Consultant at Shell from September 2020 to March 2022.

Before their time at Shell, Arif worked at Centrica Energy as a Senior Business Change Analyst from August 2016 to September 2020 and had a short-term role as a Senior Business Change Analyst from August 2016 to November 2016. Arif also served as the EU Operations Manager at TrailStone from August 2015 to June 2016.

Arif gained substantial experience at Crédit Agricole CIB where they held the position of Director - CVA and Structured Credit IT Development Manager from July 2013 to July 2015. Arif also served as the Head of Commodity IT Development and Support from April 2009 to July 2013. Arif had a similar role at Crédit Agricole from July 2013 to June 2015.

Prior to their roles at Crédit Agricole, Arif worked at Calyon from April 2009 to July 2013 as the Head of Commodity IT Support and Development. Arif was responsible for managing various projects and day-to-day BAU issues, implementing regulatory requirements, and overseeing the Openlink upgrade.

Arif started their career as an Openlink Endur Analyst at Centrica in November 2008 and had a brief stint as a Senior Consultant at Infosys Technologies Limited from September 2008 to October 2008.

Arif Sayed obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical engineering from PDVVP College of Engineering. In 2012, they also pursued an Energy Risk Professional (ERP) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
