Matt Ross

Matt Ross has over a decade of experience in the energy trading industry. Matt most recently served as the Head of Fuel Origination & Trading - Americas at Mercuria since October 2022. Before that, they worked at Motiva Enterprises LLC as a Trading Manager, specializing in Fuel Oil and Feedstocks, from July 2021 to July 2022. Prior to that, Matt was a Trader at Glencore from January 2017 to July 2021, where they also held roles as an Operator for Residual Fuels and as a Senior Risk Manager for Residual Fuels and Feedstocks. Matt started their career at Glencore in August 2011 and remained with the company until May 2014.

Matt Ross attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Operations Management and Supervision. In 2010, they participated in a semester abroad program at Bond University. Additionally, in 2008, they also took part in a semester abroad program at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, focusing on German Language and Literature.
