Robert Dow has held various roles in the telecommunications industry since 2005. Robert served as a Special Forces Instructor in the US Army from 2005 to 2008. Robert then began their career in telecommunications with Time Warner Cable, where they held two roles as a Technical Trainer from 2008 to 2014. Robert then moved to The Sage Group, where they worked as a Networking Trainer from 2014 to 2015. Robert then joined Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) as a BC Fiber Eng Lead from 2015 to 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Fuzion Frenzy as a Fiber Splicer/Engineer OSP/Owner/Electrician. Robert then joined Verizon as an OSP Inspector and OSP Inspector II from 2019 to 2021. Robert is currently employed at Mercury Broadband as a Service Center General Manager since 2021.
Robert Dow has an extensive educational background. In 1987, they graduated from Union City High School. In 2001, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Construction Engineering from Coastline College. From 2007 to 2009, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University. From 2009 to 2013, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager from Strayer University (VA). Robert also has a Master of Science - MS in Network Management from Strayer University. Additionally, Robert Dow has obtained several certifications, including Electrician [Master] from the State of South Carolina in 2021, CompTIA Net+ from CompTIA in 2010, Broadband Premises Expert (BPE), Broadband Premises Installer (BPI), Broadband Premises Technician (BPT), Fiber Splicing from Time Warner Cable, MEF CE 2.0, and MEF CECP 2.0 from the Metro Ethernet forum.
