Alejandro Mesa

Alejandro Mesa is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as Head of Engineering - Accounting at Mercury since September 2024, Alejandro previously held the position of Head of Engineering at Teal.dev until its acquisition by Mercury. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at InfluxData and founding engineer at Rho AI, where Alejandro contributed to a real-time strategy platform for NASCAR. Alejandro's earlier experience spans positions as Sr. Software Engineer at Prometheus Research, Team Lead at Pratt & Whitney, and IT Business Analyst at Hamilton Sundstrand. Alejandro's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and another Master's in Innovation and Technology from Rensselaer at Work, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
