Phillip Nielsen

Phillip Nielsen is a highly experienced technology professional specializing in cloud engineering and application deployment automation. Currently serving as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Mercury since September 2024, Phillip has previously held key positions at Braze and Journera as a Senior DevOps Engineer, contributing to significant advancements in application deployment processes. Earlier in their career, Phillip worked at Capital One as a Software Engineer, where skills in AWS, Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform were honed, alongside experience gained as a security researcher during an internship at iDCL. Phillip began their journey in technology with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 2016. Additional internship experience includes a performance role at Crowe Horwath LLP, where web application enhancements and load testing were performed.
