An Tran

An Tran has over 17 years of work experience, beginning in 2004 with the United States Marine Corps where they served as a Non-Commissioned Officer until 2008. In 2012, they worked with Iteris, Inc. as a GIS/Assistant Transportation Planner. An then worked with Jacobs as a GIS Analyst from 2013 to 2016 and Transtech Engineering Consultants as a Geospatial Software Developer from 2016 to 2017. From 2018 to 2020, they worked with Daniel Consultants, Inc. as a Geospatial Software Developer. Tran worked with Digital Infuzion from 2020 to 2022 as a Full Stack Developer and later as a Senior Software Developer until December 2022. Starting in May 2023, they joined Mercury Intermedia as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. Throughout their career, Tran has demonstrated expertise in developing applications to support emergency response, asset inventory, and transportation planning, as well as managing resources and application deployment on AWS.

An Tran completed an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree in Geography & GIS from Montgomery College in 2010, followed by a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Geography and Environmental Planning from Towson University in 2012. In 2015, they began pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, which they completed in 2018. Additionally, An obtained certification as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in December 2021.
