Carlos L. Hernando

Carlos L. Hernando has been working in the gaming industry since 2012. Carlos began their career as a Freelance International Media Analyst for Acceso Group. In 2013, they moved to Risin' Goat, where they served as a Game Designer, Writer and Community Manager for A Rite from the Stars, a 3D graphic adventure. In 2016, they joined Biff Niff as a Game Designer and Project Manager. In 2017, they began teaching Game Design for Talentum, Master of Videogame Creation, by Telefónica, as well as writing and developing content for the same program. In 2018, they became Creative Director, Lead Game Designer and Writer for Cateffects S.L., where they were responsible for envisioning projects and creating the basis for game design and narrative. In 2020, they returned to MercurySteam as a Senior Game Designer. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Translator for Hammer & Ravens, where they were responsible for translation and localization of the game Empires in Ruins from English to Spanish.

Carlos L. Hernando has a diverse educational background. Carlos obtained a Master in Video Game Development for Mobile Devices from Universidad de Alcalá in 2013. Carlos also earned a Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2012, a Radio show production and broadcasting degree from Instituto Radiofónico de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2009, and completed two courses in Ingeniería Superior de Informática at the Facultad de Informática de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2004-2006.
