Tracey L. Compton

Tracey L. Compton is a seasoned media and communications professional currently serving as the Senior Media & Communications Coordinator at Mercy Corps since June 2023. With a diverse background in writing, public relations, and community service, Tracey has volunteered as a copywriter for SheTek and provided public relations consulting for Digital Wish. Prior experience includes working as a Certified Peer Counselor with the Downtown Emergency Service Center and as a peer intern at TACID. Tracey began a career in journalism as a reporter for Sound Publishing and gained experience in broadcast media through an internship at KCTS Television. Educational achievements include a BA in Political Science and Communications from the University of Washington and a certificate in Editing from the same institution.
