Senior Vice President at Mercy Housing

Christopher Reed is currently the Senior Vice President at Mercy Housing. Christopher has over 20 years of experience in the property management industry, having served as a Vice President at three different companies.

Reed began their career in 1990 as a Vice President at Lexford Residential Trust. Christopher then spent seven years as a Regional Vice President at Equity Residential before moving to Empirian Property Management in 2006. At Empirian, they oversaw the management of 90 communities and 8,000+ units located across 10 states. Christopher was also responsible for the National Education/Marketing Departments and served as the Job Corps Partnership liaison. In 2007, they coordinated the successful transition of the portfolio from public to private ownership.

Reed then joined Mercy Housing in 2012, where they have been instrumental in stabilizing Operating Income and achieving portfolio growth of 5.5-6.5%. Christopher has also implemented a national management system of standard practices, educational programs, incentive compensation, recognition programs, and management oversight. In addition, they have rolled out and trained the Crucial Conversations Mastery Dialogue program across all Mercy Housing communities.

The educational career for Christopher Reed includes a degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in music or drama. Christopher is also certified by the Center for Creative Leadership as a certified coach, and by the IREM Denver Chapter 17 as a CPM/Certified Property Manager.

Christopher Reed reports to Cheryll O'Bryan, Chief Administrative Officer. They are on a team with Jennifer Poole - National Director of Marketing, Jacquie Hoffman - Regional Vice President of Property Operations, California, and Mary Pat Paruszkiewicz - Regional Vice President, Operations.
