David Eckels

David Eckels has a strong background in the renewable energy and electric vehicle industry. David is currently the VP of Products at Merge Electric Fleet Solutions, where they started in 2021. Prior to that, they were a Founding Partner at EVIA - Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Advisors LLC since 2017.

From 2016 to 2017, David worked as a Senior Manager at EVgo, where they managed the rollout of DC fast chargers in multiple states and developed process improvement and best practices documentation.

David also had experience at NRG Energy as a Site Developer for NRG EVgo, where they built the first public DC fast charging network in Utah and launched innovative programs for Nissan and BMW EV buyers.

Additionally, David worked at Sound Geothermal Corporation as a Business Development Manager from 2013 to 2014 and as a Geothermal Designer and Project Manager from 2008 to 2013.

David also has experience as an Outdoor Product Manager at Jetboil, Inc. and as a Temporary Special Projects Coordinator at New Profit Inc.

Lastly, David started their career as an Engineering Support Technician at Sound Geothermal Corporation and later worked as a Teaching Assistant at Dartmouth College.

David Eckels attended Dartmouth College from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. In 2002, they also participated in a Language Study Abroad program at the Universitat de Barcelona, focusing on Spanish. Additionally, David obtained certifications such as CEA - Certified Energy Auditor from the Association of Energy Engineers in December 2011 and Accredited Installer from the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association in March 2010.
