Nial Bleakley

Nial Bleakley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nial started their career in 2001 with Explore Worldwide where they worked as an Adventure Tour Leader, leading and managing adventure tours across five continents. Nial then joined VBT Bicycling Vacations in 2003 as a Tour Leader, organizing cycling tours in New Zealand.

In 2015, Nial moved to Christchurch City Council where they held various roles. Nial initially worked as a Customer Service Representative and Technical Trainer for a year before becoming a Team Leader in 2016. As a Team Leader, they were responsible for leading a team of 22 in a multichannel environment, including contact center and walk-in services. Nial also took on additional responsibilities such as after-hours social media management, representation on new facility builds, and organizing the Annual Council Recognition 'Star Awards'.
