Derek Probst

Derek Probst has a diverse range of work experience. Derek is currently employed as a Project Manager at Merrick & Company, starting in February 2023. Before that, they worked at Mountain Waterworks as a Project Manager from January 2022 to February 2023. Derek also held the positions of Project Engineer from September 2019 to December 2021 and Staff Engineer from August 2018 to September 2019 at the same company. Prior to Mountain Waterworks, Derek worked as a Staff Engineer at Water Works Engineers from June 2016 to August 2018. Derek also has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Idaho from February 2013 to May 2014, where they assisted with various research projects in wastewater treatment and dairy manure fermentation. Derek's earlier experience includes an internship at the Idaho Transportation Department from May 2012 to August 2012 and a role as a Mathematics Tutor at the College of Southern Idaho from August 2011 to December 2011.

Derek Probst holds a Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Idaho, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014. Derek also holds an Associate's degree in Engineering from the College of Southern Idaho, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Idaho Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors in August 2019. Additionally, Derek obtained the Engineering Intern certification from the same institution in January 2014.
