Nathan Niesen

Nathan Niesen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Nathan began their career in the Air National Guard as an enlisted personnel from 1986 to 1992. Nathan then joined Electronic Data Systems in 1991 as a Systems Engineer.

In 1999, Nathan transitioned to ObjectFX as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on a highly skilled XP team. Nathan'sresponsibilities included designing and building cutting-edge geospatial applications and location-based service applications. Nathan remained with ObjectFX until 2010.

From 2010 to 2013, Nathan worked at ABILITY Network Inc. (formerly VisionShare) as a Principal Software Engineer. Nathan played a key role in the development of various projects, including an eligibility and claims processing web application, RESTful services application for real-time access to Medicare mainframe data, and client interfaces for secure exchange of health information.

In 2013, Nathan joined FPX as a Principal Software Engineer. During their tenure, they collaborated on the adoption of Jenkins pipeline and Docker for containerizing applications and deploying them to Azure Kubernetes. Nathan also served as a developer and technical lead/mentor for a cloud application team.

Currently, Nathan is employed at Datasite as a Staff Software Engineer I, starting in 2019. Additional details regarding the specific role and responsibilities are not available at this time.

Nathan Niesen started their education in 1987 at Minnesota State University, Mankato where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Nathan studied at this institution till 1991. In 1990, Nathan briefly attended the University of Borås, focusing on Computer Science, without completing a degree.
