Trish Jonker, MA, LCPC has extensive experience in the field of mental health and therapy. Trish began their career in 2004 as a Crisis Counselor at The Bridge Youth & Family Services, where they provided counseling services to youths in crisis and their families. Trish then worked as an Assessment Specialist at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health, conducting psychiatric assessments to determine diagnoses and appropriate levels of care.

In 2006, Trish joined the Canadian Mental Health Association as a Crisis Counselor for the Niagara Health System ER. Trish provided crisis counseling support in the emergency room setting. Trish also worked as a Counselor at Jericho Counselling Services, offering individual, couples, and family therapy.

Trish's experience expanded into leadership roles when they joined the Kenneth Young Center in 2010. Trish served as the Coordinator for the Adolescent & Young Adult Team, overseeing a team of 12 outpatient therapists and the community support services program. During their time at the center, Trish developed expertise in the treatment of trauma.

Trish continued their career at Compass Health Center, where they took on the role of Associate Director of Child PHP. In this position, they provided administrative and clinical support to the program therapists while offering therapeutic support to families. The Partial Hospitalization Program aimed to stabilize children with serious emotional disturbances and help them transition back to their communities.

In 2021, Trish joined Meru Health as a Therapist and later became the Clinical Team Lead in September 2022. Trish provided therapy services and supervised a team of 25 therapists. Trish also played a role in product development and contributed clinical feedback to the growth team's marketing efforts.

Currently, Trish operates a private practice where they offer telehealth and in-person parent coaching and therapy sessions. Trish'sareas of specialization include trauma-informed parenting support for foster and adoptive families, as well as general mental health and relationship counseling. Trish is also available for speaking engagements and webinars.

Throughout their career, Trish has demonstrated a commitment to providing holistic mental health support and has gained expertise in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention.

Trish Jonker, MA, LCPC received their M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Trinity International University in 2005. Trish has obtained several additional certifications, including licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor from various state departments of health such as Tennessee, Illinois, and Florida. Trish is also certified in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health from PESI. Additionally, Trish holds licenses as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor from the New York State Education Department and as a Licensed Professional Counselor from several other states including Arizona, Connecticut, Kentucky, Wyoming, West Virginia, Delaware, and South Carolina. Trish is also a Registered Psychotherapist with Ontario Health | Santé Ontario.
