Dingtian Zhang

Dingtian Zhang, Ph.D., is a seasoned research scientist with significant experience in wearable sensing and user interaction within mixed reality at Meta since July 2024. Previously, Dingtian served as Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at Hyperfine, where successful development of patient motion sensing and EMI noise cancellation technologies contributed to the first FDA-cleared portable MRI. A founding fellow of the Internet of Materials project at Georgia Institute of Technology, Dingtian's work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, patents, and awards in ubiquitous computing. Early career experiences include internships at Facebook, Disney Research, Technicolor, and co-founding the startup 2Dme. Dingtian holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, complemented by an MS in Human-Computer Interaction and a BS from Tsinghua University.
