Shaz Qadeer

Shaz Qadeer is a Software Engineer at Meta since November 2018, with extensive expertise in programming models, large-scale distributed databases, secure multiparty and blockchain computation, and the verification and debugging of concurrent programs. Recognized for research contributions, Shaz became an ACM Fellow in 2021 and received the 2023 CAV Award. Prior to Meta, Shaz served as a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Azure, focusing on the Azure Blockchain Workbench, and held research positions at Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard, specializing in programming languages and software verification. Shaz earned a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and further education from the University of California, Berkeley.
