Tatiana Shavrina

Tatiana Shavrina, PhD, is a seasoned researcher and manager specializing in natural language processing and machine learning. Currently serving as a Research Scientist Manager at Meta within the Llama team since July 2024, Tatiana previously held the position of Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Manager for My AI at Snap Inc., where leadership in large language model development was a focus. Experience at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute included directing key research projects in NLP and multimodality, managing two core teams, and proposing significant research initiatives. Tatiana's career also includes serving as AI Research Leader at Sberbank, overseeing multiple teams in NLP research, and contributions to prominent projects such as the ruGPT-3 model. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a master's degree in Computational Linguistics from the Higher School of Economics, along with additional specialized training in machine learning and natural language processing.
